Before and After, Living Rooms

The B&As from the two living rooms downstairs are not quite as dramatic as the bathrooms, but it's entirely possible they were just as much work. Because of the holes in the walls, there was a lot more patching, so a lot more sanding, a lot more priming and there was definitely a lot more painting! Plus we ripped up and replaced the carpets.

They left us lots of goodies (before)

Like I said, it doesn't seem like a very dramatic change in either of these rooms, but it was quite a bit of work. Painting the trim alone... well let's just say that during the first 8 hour day of painting, we had 5 painters and managed to do 3/4 of the trim in the house.40 MAN HOURS, 75% OF THE FIRST COAT, JUST THE TRIM! That's the problem with old houses. The thick trim is dreamy until you have to re-paint it.

With one more post about the apartment (kitchen) on its way, I look forward to being done with this... and the new tenant moving in better stay... forever.
